Description


the snow leopard is a native of the central asian mountains. their natural diet is ibex, and blue sheep high in the himalayas and tibet. they can kill animals three times their own body weight. they are insulated with a thick coat and have fur covered feet that act as snow shoes on the snow and a tail that acts as a blanket to keep sensitive areas warm and also acts as a counter balance.

Yes a beautiful animal. Sadly a rare one too. Only 40 breeding pairs left at the last estimate. I love the grimace on his face here.. Great photo.
