Description

My darling granddaughter Emma, here just 12. Then she entered the teenage and with that the roller-coaster started. Such highs, such lows, such anger, such glow. To be 15 is not easy And together with her, the whole family is drawn into a whirling dance. I try to remember my own teenage. I know I was no easy child. Think I was more introvert though. even if i was challenging enough. It is good to just be the grandma LOL Thanks for viewing and the comments you want to give.

It happens so fast sometimes. Wonderful image and poetry, Gun. Very fitting and someday Emma will read it with different eyes than she has now. Hugs and love, sis. Suzanne

Beautiful portrait of your granddaughter. Growing up is a hard job for kids, parents, and grandparents. Responsible adulthood does not come easily. Just love them.

She's quite a beautiful young woman, Gun. Ahh..yes..what tumultuous years these are. But, take heart, grandmas have done their time..and a free to softly smile in knowing on the inside. I think Emma's eyes speak of perhaps a very deep and introspective soul. So, if that is the case, surely, the ups and downs are part of that particular parcel. A splendid and beautiful portrayal..and, as always, such beautiful interpretation via your talented eye. :)

Emma is a stunning and lovely young lady---and you are right, to be 15 must not be easy, especially in this day and age. So many transitions and so much turmoil to endure... but those experiences will only allow her to unfold her wings and become that lovely butterfly that she will.... especially with such a wonderful Gramma like yourself that she has by her side. Such a beautiful expression on her face.... the slight tilt of her face is most soft and gentle. She seems like a very bright and intellectual young lady. I really like the way you've interpreted the situation and expressed that in such a wonderful metaphor as you have in your words.... the rollercoaster and the dance......... Superb artwork!
