Description

I was at the New Iberal art walk yesterday form 330 pm to 8 pm. My two daughter in laws went with me and at one point they took off to look at other people art. When the came back they told me they went in a bar to buy a coke and get some water. They was there and this woman started to take off some cloths and walking to them. They got afear and got out of there and came told me a stiper was in this bar after them lol. I say "I going to check this out after awhile". About halve a hour later I took off and walking down the street takeing photos of artists and they work by them. I came to the bar and walked in with a big tripod with my Nikon d80 on it. The striper say she was the victom and the guys thought I came to closed down the place. I say " I just came in to get a coke for I was thristy" The striper then say " You going to take photos of me" and she jump up on the bar and started to pose for me. The men saw me set up the tripod and started takeing photos and all eyes was on the girl on top the bar.{I did not wish to tell them no for they might try to hurt me. I not as young as I used to be I might be able to take on one but two or more will be too much to fight}. I took some photos then my camera stop for some reason I change setting and it took more photos I had to take it off the auto focus for it did not work in there. So some of my shots was out of focus. I learn a lot in that place. I had my flash on too for I knew it was fast action here. This is one of the poses she did. I post more later and I will get back to chicot state park later too[that a magic time there] lol photos times comeing at me fast. I know I should have posted my images of the place where my art was. I tell you about that later too lol what a night and it started off crazy as it was and this is not how it started I tell you when I set up my art for the art walk Oh after I took about 20 photos and she was finish with the poses; I showed her the shots i took of her and she say I can do whatever I like with the photos so here is one. She told me her name was mary jane two or three times so I will not forget it. She told all in the bar she hated that name her mother gave her. lol what can I say. guess I could have gotten in the feet. most of my shots do not have her feet in them for some reason.[was not thinking of her feet at the time.] Going back to that place and see if she there and give her some small prints

This lady is very talented. She will never be in the ballet or maybe even get under the limbo bar but she has made her way in an adult world by flexibility and agility. My experience is she will be gone when you go back and on to another town. Maybe you will find some of the other girls who knew her living near you. The photgraphy worked.

I just love that old guy in the white cap, there she is showing her all to him and he looks down at his beer, Just like I would have done. fantastic shot Jocko and the narrative is superb my friend. Bravo!!!!!

You are bold rascal, Jock. I would never walk into a strange bar and shoot a candid series. Your usual great work! You caught the flavor of this type of questionable joint.
