My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

OK, how 'bout this...Lantern With Candle? LOL I am doing the same thing with my flower shots these days. I'm about to do like Goodoleboy does and just number them... :-) Fantastic shot, Tara. Oh, wait! Here's another suggestion... Lantern With Candle Under Tree!!! How's that sound?

chinese burn ?

Get a very small pumpkin, carve it, put it in there with a candle, and you'll have a Halloween lantern LOL. See, that's why you've been saving it, right? Very nice shot; the red maple makes it look like you took it with fall colors on the trees.

I know just what this needs my little friend :) this would be perfect for keeping ships from running a shore on foggy nights. I will come up and we can catch firefly's and put them in this lamp. then on foggy nights we can sit on the beach with a campfire roasting marshmallows drinking hot cocco and take turns waving the lamp and keeping our part of the world safe for another day. haha sorry I was in the mood to type. I really do like this shot. another very beautiful shot my friend :)

I think this is a great shot. As for the title...it is perfect. Very Zen-like.
Bonker
It seemed like a fitting title enough, I think of meditation when seeing it, and then your mind is supposed to be blank. Sometimes we think to hard, when we should just go with the flow.
beachzz
I think you got it just right and Bonker really said it. Sometimes we just need to STOP thinking and let life take us where it will!! Love the light coming thru the trees.
goodoleboy
How apropos a title for my mind also, Tara! Actually, if anything, TwoPynts knows all about this stuff, i.e., Japanese lanterns and idols, etc., so he might be able to help you with a fitting title. Ennyweigh, I like the POV, clarity, colors and mood lighting in this capture! And good luck with your branch clearing chores, my dear.

Great shot...........such a nice composition......'Untitled'?

On just about all of my posting. I take a part of the sentence that I wrote in my comments and make it a title. Just like what you have done here. Excellent job. Aloha
barbdennist
What a perfect, and beautiful, background for this pretty lantern. My mind is always blank so it is good to know I'm in such fine company.

It's a very nice image! Especially with the color detail to contrast with the steely gray lantern. Nice job and about time you uploaded it. :-)

Hi Tara .. I just love this!!
JeffG7BRJ
I bought one similar for my lovely wife, it's sat outside on the lid of the filter for the fishpond. I have been out there untold times and never gave it a thought, it started off green in colour, I don't know what it will look like now but after seeing this one from you Tara, I will have to go and have a look. I cannot believe you have a blank space anywhere in you head, especially as you have this thirst for knowledge. Wonderful shot of this lovely lantern and the backdrop is spot on. Bravo!!!!!
