Description

My first pic with HDR-technic (photomatix). Perhaps have anyone of you any experiences with this technic (how many pics are necessary, which EV-steps)? View from Beatenberg, you can see Eiger, Moench & Jungfrau. For further details see following link: www.interlaken.ch Thanks for answers!

With the pro it takes at least three different photos with that many ev-steps with the plugin I think just one photo. This is a beautiful landscape shot with great colors.

Beautiful shot! Where is that? Such an amazing landscape. With Photomatix the best results I have seen use 3 - 5 exposures. I think the important thing is that the under and over exposed images clearly capture the darker or lighter areas in the composition, doesn't seem matter too much what F-stops I use. I did however see a tutorial that actually specifies F-Stops: http://hdr101.com/hdr-tutorial/ I also find that somtimes it helps to overlay the best overall exposed image overtop of the HDR at about 20% or so, normal blending mode, just to bring back a little bit of realism.

I have yet to try it out, perhaps tomorrow. Did you think there was a great diffrence between this image and a single shot?
