Description

FE & PS Hi all... Certainly not the happy-go-lightly image, but a thoughtful one, I hope. Imagine a sign, the likes of which are found in shopping malls, and other *constructive* areas in the name of our endless professions of so-called *progress.* Those directional signs which reinforce what we already fully know...that we are lost. YOU ARE HERE ~> X A vain And fractured breath In the shadowed Lowlands Of our own Deconstruction Wishes for a wonderful weekend! Thanks to each of you for the comments and favs. Thoughts, Nancy~*

Superb depiction of the vortex that suctions our lives as we confidently adjust our malleable truth. The dark colour, with its splashes of light is a strong reminder of the attractive fallacy of progress we cling to. This composition is wonderfully pleasing. Congratulations.

I sense depth and scale..and recognition in your fascinating composition. Colors and light are superb and serve to puncuate the great populace. Excellent!

Something disturbing about this one. On the surface, not particularily a dark image, but as one looks it begins to unsettle one, and becomes dark with foreboding. OR maybe it's just me. Awesome abstract ..

This image is incredibly rich and so full of things to ponder...there is the commentary that you wrote so eloquently and then there is the commentary that this image triggers in and of itself! I love the colors (a thing I always look at in images) and these are particularly effective in imparting a certain mood and invitation to dive in further. At times, I wonder if there is safety in such an invitation...probably not, but then discoveries are never made "safely." I like this image for that: it marks a space that cannot be marked, and because of that it can never actually be seen the same way twice. I'm also struck by some of the more atavistic elements here, the West-African derived shapes that imply sculpture or woven patterns, juxtaposed with the more rigid chess-board pattern. How those two work together is intriguing and I can't put my finger on HOW it works, but it does. I love that, and this single image is sheer proof that I don't get to your gallery enough. THAT is a situation I fully intend to rectify!
