Description
This beautiful creature has been soaring around my house for several weeks.
Finally got a picture of him!!
I believe this is a red tail hawk.
Update *** Now identified as an OSPREY ***

I agree ,it does look like a redtailed hawk.I live in Central New york and we are still lucky enough to have some here. Beautiful shot and he was so nice to hang out so you could show him off on the net! Thanks so much! Big gift!

Thank you for all for the comments, Today we observed him plummet into the lake after fish..unfortunately he missed on several attempts, Wingnut, Danob, you may be right that this is an Osprey!!

A superb in flight shot of this Osprey..I recognize the face and wings of this magnificient raptor, having seen them up close and personal when released back into the wild. Wondeful photo and I have wanted one like this for a long time..the opportunity has not yet come my way.
