Description

"All this can be yours..." The ZGnome is offering the would-be heiress a deal, but at what price? AnyHOO, I had problems optimizing this, so here is a larger, clearer version of the scene.

A huge thank you to: MirageBay for her wonderful ZGnome! His textures are absolutely amazing, and the Maiden and Horse bonuses are beautiful! matrix03 for always encouaging me to work on my renders when I'm in a creative slump (which is quite often). :P jif3d for emailing me whenever I disappear, glad to find out that I'm still alive. It means a lot. :)

Hello dearest AngelSinger ! It has been quite a time since your last post, so I assumed you had something precious carefully brewing... and wasn't wrong as I can see :-) I'm especially seduced by the richness in detail and colors you managed to mix and blend very naturally and realistically. The attention you give to the decorum is always above par gives huge and string atmosphere to your images and you succeeded in that here -- among others in the trees and surrounding nature, and in the stone and wood kiosks. Your two characters are very expressive and show interestingly suggested dynamic and emotion. Thank you also for sharing the picture in King Size, which was just fitting my screen width: what a pleasure to look at it down to its finest details ! On the positive criticism side, things were not easy for me as these comments relate to very subtle things I noticed which may not be easy at all to improve, but I only a humble viewer and will let you the artist evaluate and decide... - first the feet of the gnome are not natural, especially his right one, but even the left one's toes should be more folded; - both characters have their fingers open too wide apart, which seems to suggest something that their expression doesn't reflect. Especially, the girl's surprise is well translated in her arm folded and leaning agains her chest while her hand is open and fingers wide apart... unusual at least; - the rounded border of the bench should, like the one on the right, be shadowed at least in its lowest part, where it almost faces the ground - this one took me some time but here we go: there are two things a bit weird with the shadows on the girl: (a) her left arm/hand shouldn't be a wide stripe of shadow on her chest, but should be getting thinner and the fingers' shadow should su suggested, based on where I thought the light source would be, and (b) according that light source position, the light on her right arm in her back isn't very consistent: I would expect it to be clearly in the shadow of her back (combined with some mor shadow from the gnome's presence)? - finally the neck shape of the gnome seems more than weird to me but, after all, that maybe was an oddity by design ? Please see in all these comments only encouragements to further invest in the so beautiful artwork you create and delight us with ! Take care, AngelSinger ! (see, the sinner seems gone, now ;-)
