Pretty face and eyes. Looks like you used some sort of photoshop type effect on the picture. Would be interesting to see both the original and this side by side for comparison. I suspect that the original non-effect may actually be better. Nonetheless a nice shot.

Beautiful, Just a bit too much sofening around the eye's nose and mouth but for all of that , she is lovely a good photo!

Agreed with TheBear005 about the effect. But if you were trialing something then dont be disheartened experimentation is the best thing to do to learn about styles in postwork :) Looks like a good shot to me (minus the softening)

it started out as a very sharp image and i didnt have the function on this computer to soften it the way i wanted to

Almost said. Are you crying? Look at the right eye. Or maybe use contact lenses like me. The extensive retouch of the picture just live me one question. The nose.

the only thing i did to this picture is put a surface blur on it

i like the portrait... well the way to make it more smooth isn't that ideal... if you need some ideas concerning postwork - just ask :)

Great work! This has an oddly arresting quality to it, which is probably the result of post working. I think it's effective and a wee bit eerie, but that's just me, and well...a touch of eerieness never hurt anyone. Great concept and execution though, and it does up the ante in terms of self portraits and portraiture in general. Great, brave, and creative work.
