This past weekend, I had the pleasure to once again serve as a crew chief for Project R.A.K.E. R.A.K.E. stands for Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere. We are a faith based organization which goes out 3 - 4 times per year to spread Christ's love in a real and tangible way by providing free home repair for families in need in our community. We do anything from building wheel chair ramps to complete bathroom and kitchen replacements. All of the work is performed by high school and junior high school students. These outstanding kids are our future. They are learning that true happiness is found in serving others. This is our fifth year. Since then, we have helped over 160 families, and have performed over 37,000 hours of community service. I urge anyone out there to get your teens involved in serving their community.
