Description

Nikon 7900 image. This is the 3rd and last image of this series on this colorful tiny spider. This is a side that is not seen easily, lol. These little spiders usually spin their little delicate webs amid foliage and they stay on the foliage side of the webs. Thus, it is their bellies that are visible because there is no way to get to the other side. Besides that, they are also quite skittish and run for cover at the slightest provocation. I have to confess that in order to get this POV, I placed the spider on a post so I could see his back. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. Lee

I've never seen anything like this before, most spiders make me shiver, but this one is so sweet..and on a perfect background..

I have tried relocating spiders several times Lee and has soon as I set them down they're off. I just don't know how you do it, it must be this affinity that you seem to have with these little critters. Fantastic shot, especially so when enlarged. I think I prefer the underside shot for the colour but all three are exceptional. Little critter photography at its best. Bravo!!!!!

Lee, your spider images are very interesting. I enjoy the play with shadows which makes them even more interesting and holds the viewiers attention longer. I would love it if you could capture some webs this fall. Thanks for all your great images!!!
