According to the ancient superstition, "Death" appears at midnight every year on Halloween. Death has the power to call forth the dead from their graves to dance for him while he plays his fiddle. His skeletons dance for him until the first break of dawn, when they must return to their graves until the next year. (Wikipedia)
At Samhanin we remember those that passed over and the time of celebrating a new year to come.
The third harvest is celebrated, as we prepare for the dark days ahead and the long winter nights.

Ooooh! Lis!! LOVE the skels!! The whole render is fab! Oh, LOL, look at that pumpkin on the tombstone! That's a really cute touch!
