Description

While taking pictures of the flag and her reflection off the Comp USA corporate office building, on the Dallas North Tollway, a Dallas Fire Rescue ambulance sirened by on the service road. I took pictures as it passed. It made me think. I was taking pictures of the flag because of the beautiful reflections it was making on the mirrored high rise. I started thinking or reflecting on these, who risk their lives everyday, just doing their jobs. These guys and gals in the emergency vehicle are rushing into danger, to save the lives of someone they do not even know. Wow, how incredible are these people? These thoughts automatically lead me to the Fire Rescue Teams who are fighting fires in California. Keep all these people in y'all thoughts as they fight to save life and property of those in the path of the fires. On deeper reflection, how great are those who have laid down their lives for Old Glory. She takes a lot of crap around the world, but my hope is she will always stand for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Also as a symbol of freedom for all those who need it around the world. I do not mean to wax patriotic, ah hell, I guess I do! Let me know what you think of my picture. I cropped and resized the flag pictures and placed them on the fire rescue picture, which I used as a back ground. I then added a frame. Thank y’all for all the comments on "My Girl Libby." Todd

Nice one.. I think it is nothing to be ashamed in be a patriot or being proud of old Glory.. I feel the same about the Union Jack.. Perhaps it is the men who lead us thats in more need of critique than the flag or country..
