My name is Andres Eugenio, but my friends call me Andy, and I've held a camera in my hands since I was 10 years old. I've been a jack of many trades; photo studio assistant, news camera, studio camera operator, cinematographer, and even tried my hand at screenwriting. I'm returning back to my first love and re-exploring the brave new world of digital photography. Though a part of me still misses the quiet solitude and smells of a darkroom, the wonders of post-digital work are limitless.
I'm originally born and raised in Miami, FL, but now make my home in Los Angeles, CA.

Very moving image, and excellent job catching the setting sun and the colors of the clouds.

OMG that many have died. When is this war going to end. So sad for their families. Yet proud of their fight against terrorism. Catch twenty two. Fantastic image:)

When was the last time a polititian died at the front of the troops he hurls into battle? Prehaps if they didn't own all the arms factories, they wouldn't want to go to war quite so often!

A an honorable tribute to heroes. To those who are 'shocked' by the number of deaths, you don't know your history: More than 5,000 soldiers died in less than two weeks taking the island of Iwo Jima during WWII. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers died in less than 4 years during the American Civil War. Every soldier is valuable, and every death is costly, but we should be thankful and proud that so relatively few have had to die, and that so much good has been accomplished through their brave sacrifice. They have fought well and fought smart, and casualties and even collateral civilian deaths are mercifully few. To those who say, "end the war" ... wars end with victory, not retreat.
