Description

TG 09.43. One last play before I put these files on the shelf. Terrain made in TerraMaker. Modified in Terragen. All settings are mine. Larger planets made in PSP. Smaller ones are just bevels on the background. Thanks for looking!

Sci-fi and reality merge. Reminds me of these latest fires. The awesome moods you create are incredible, Angel.

  1. The scene would be much more focused and dramatic with one light source [presumably all of the planets primary star, including the landscape's] and, thus, the same direction & placement of the shadows. As shown, the FOUR light sources create a sense of scale ambiguity. 2. The transparent and consistently overlapping landscape features, in particular, add to the sense of ambiguity of subject and scale focus. It looks very much like a "double exposure". 3. Add something --buildings, plants, beings, animals, etc.-- to the landscape to give a sense of scale. How big/small are the spindly, vertical ground structures in relation to the foreground? "Atmospheric perspective" by itself isn't sufficiently descriptive.
