I think, myself, that they ought to ban truffle hunting, Rozanne. I know that this would be seen as an unwarranted and unwanted intrusion by the people of Catlonia and Espana, by tree-hugging Brit environmentalists, but I think the time has come to put a stop to this barbaric practice. The pigs and occasional dogs used in the hunt are being ruthlessly exploited by the cartels behind the provision of truffles to the high class restorantes. Neither the over-hunting, nor the the immeasurable trauma caused to the humble truffle is ever admitted by truffle gourmets/hunters. This is despite highly publicised recent lab tests suggesting that truffles, even from a very young age, are extremely sensitive to the approach of humans, and especially the destructive earth-rooting pig snouts..! ;o) ( Sorry, I could not stop myself ) Seriously this is a nice vantage. I used a chair lift to get near the top of a mountain on the Costa Del Sol, and then set off for the hundred or so metres to the top. All the young ones stayed at the cafe/bullring/birds-of-prey sanctuary/tourist trap at the lift station. The view was magnificent from the top. My ankles complained, but I spotted one huge, hidden quarry, as well as some nice butterflies, and what looked like an eagle making a kill. My photos, as usual were rather fuzzy. Have a nice week, and don't stand on the poor wee truffles... ;o) Regards, John.

Beautiful vista. What a great hike! I've never had a truffle, and doubt I ever will. LOL, I don't even know what they look like. Hugs, Suzanne
