Description

Another from the Marquee at Wainuiomata, this one featuring Bob McNeill from the Two Piece band called "Ben the Hoose". Yes they are Scots and Man they can play!! This is another of those shots that seem to me to be better than the sharper ones. I think it has a certain look largely to do with Bob's expression. I also liked the composition and awkwardly placed microphones tend to ruin at least half of all shots, so I worked this up a bit. Learnt a cute trick too. If the shot is a bit out of focus, you can dampen the damage by really blurring out most of the picture.

Funny the things we figure out to deal with those little imperfections; blurring the whole foto was a great idea!! I also like his expression and the light.
