Description

The Royal Palace was a true imperial city from almost 4 kms on side, establishes in the center of the royal campus protected by an immense brick wall During the II World War, the city fell to the hands from the Japanese (from 1942 to 1945) and the fort was used as warehouse. When it was bombarded by the British, the royal palace, which was out of wood, left in smoke. It is nothing remained Today there is only one testimony of what should be fabulous Imperial City Cité a scupté completely in teak room was one of the wonders of the Palate until the death of the queen Setkyadevî king Thibaw his son (last king de Mandalay, of 1878 to 1885), refusing to live there, made it dismount, transport out of the enclosure of the fort and transform into monastery (what avoided the destruction to him). All that remains of wonders of the dynastiie of Manday is today the Monastery of Shwenandaw Considerated which cursed by the kings, it was the only one with was saved of the destruction
