Such an interesting and provacative statue, Mickey! It brings to mind both the apple of Eden and the story of Lot's wife who turned to a pillar of salt. Looking from another angle, perhaps the artist meant to bring forward the "fruit of life" aspect. The true beauty of art is that it makes us think and try to interpret the artist's intentions. Always so interesting to see how other people perceive it because such perception often tells us much about the person. I love your idea of the apple of temptation being in the woman's head--and we all know how stubborn we women can be about such things, too! Great image and one sure to receive many thoughtful comments!

My first thought was a woman looking at her child and saying to it, 'You are the apple of my eye." Perhaps that is all off the mark, but like good photos and paintings, sculpture may have an intended message by the creator but the best sculpture is one that is left open to several meanings. Thanks for sharing this very unique work.

Une sculpture très intéressante toute en blanc qui ne passe pas inaperçu dans cette nature verte !!! La symbolique de la pomme OK mais ça me fait trop penser à la statue de la vierge (c'est peut-être ce qu'il voulait) et je voudrais dire à son créateur qu'il aurait pu rendre cette jolie dame un peu plus sexy et provocante pour que mon oeil soit mise en appétit .....;o)
