Great capture of this magnificently coloured bird. We have a lot of these birds in our area too, they are indeed one of the most beautiful here in the UK, I think. I enjoyed your photo and look forward to the others that you took that night!!

Beautiful shot Mick. I know what you were thinking when you took this because the legs are perfectly focused. I prefer the drumstick also. LOL. Excellent work.

Well they are Autumn colours after all. Great capture Mick, you were lucky to get it at all never mind the head being out of focus, these birds are usually off like a shot(pardon the pun) if you get anywhere near them. It seems like a game(can't help it) bird to stay for a portrait shot(here we go again). Enough already. Excellent capture(oh! but you didn't, did you?). LOL. Anyone for pheasant? Bravo!!!!! Thanks for the smile.

Fine capture of what I assume is a pheasant, very fat guy and yep! ready for plucking and served under glass! Oh sorry but the truth is they are very good eating! I think the 'out of focus' give credence to his plucking:-) Great shot Mick!
