Description
the tuatara is native to new zealand and is critically endangered there. they are under threat on the mainland from all manner of predators and so have been put on 32 off shore islands that have no predators. the males are larger and are 24 inches in length while the females are 18 inches in length, the males weigh 1kg and the females weigh 0.5kg.
