Description

Wow, it's been years since I've posted updates here... But now I've finally got more stuff that I'm willing to post here. I may post up some older stuff related to Portland Motor Raceway if you all seem interested in seeing it... But for now: This is the start of the first building going into a larger cityscape scene - It's going to be this and about 3 other buildings at similar detail, plus some background filler buildings. It will be quite detailed, and hopefully on par with, or better than the 'next-gen' game artwork. I plan on including some basic interiors to the buildings as well. Scene face count total is at 49,545 triangles. In case this looks familiar to san francisco residents, this building is at the southeast corner of Bush St. and Kearny St. I'm mostly doing this entire thing based off of Google Maps' Street View, so there may be a few innaccuracies.

Very nice. Uh, does that last fire escape terrace really hang/intersect with the ledge like that?? (Yes, I did read your post message) It's an interesting feature.

Well, the positioning of the trim and the fire escape is accurate, but what I can't get from the reference is how the trim is avoided by the fire escape. I'm thinking the bars need to be removed where the trim is, but since this is a rather rough shot of the building in mid-progress, I just hadn't gotten around to doing that, or creating the less-wide fire escape platform on the floor where the awnings are.

Great work on the model. Details look well done from what I can see, and impressive work on the balconies.
