Years ago, I owned a house on the edge of the woods. I mean that literally... my backyard ended in heavy woods. When I got my chores done, I would climb the fence (I've been climbing fences for many, many years. LOL) and wander through the trees. I would find a place, much like this, and sit beneath one of the tall, tall trees in the decomposing leaves and mulch. The quiet was like nothing I have ever known since. We were miles from any road other than our little dirt one that dead ended just past our house. there were no sounds of human life. Only the pure sounds of nature. This photo takes me back many years to a time when life was much simpler for me. Thank you.
