Computer Art is a major hobby of mine. I have been dabbling in it since the Commodor 64 days. I have pursued traditional art since I could hold a pencil but made the switch to digital since my creativity is less limited and the end product is more realistic. I particularly enjoy creating somewhat alien environments that have just enough recognizeable things in them to make the viewer pause and interact with the image.

Amazing vase, and wonderful 3D composition.

Thank you all for your comments. I'm glad you like it. I have a real problem being satisfied with just rendering a fractal in 2D and I always want to "do something with it." The vase was easily created in Hamapatch (freeware) and brought into PovRay (also freeware) where this was rendered.

Excellent combination of techniques. For me the image has an Italian touch, mediterranean. You created a subtile and wonderful atmosphere here.

I appreciate the comments. I did have a Mediterranean frame of mind when I did this. Someone in a different community had said this background looked a little plain, which I am glad you all did not see as a problem. But anyway I decided to jazz it up a little and the result was the print I just uploaded called Enigma, which showcases this same vase. Normally I don't do two approaches to the same subject. I would be interested in your points of comparison between the two.
