She remembered the night they met. It was exactly one year ago, Octoboer 31. Their attraction was electric and she had been unable to banish him from her mind, in spite of the fact that she'd never seen him again. Oh, she had searched...she had asked others...all to no avail. Noone seemed to know who he was or where he lived. She let her best friend talk her into going to a Halloween party, even though she didn't want to go. She was too restless to stay at home. The party was in full swing...scads of people, some in costume, danced or tried to shout above the music in an attempt at conversation. She felt a tingle run down her spine, turned to see what had caused it...and there he was. Magically, the party receeded in to the packground. He held out his hand. She walked toward him....as if in a dream. "I've come for you." he said. "I've been waiting for you." she replied. "I know," he said. "but you have to make a choice. I am not from this world and if you leave with me, there is no turning back. You must leave this world, your friends, family and all that you hold dear. You don't have to choose now, you have a year. Let's..." "I don't need a year," she interrupted, "I don't need another second. Take me with you...now."
