Description

The Eagle on the hood was painted after the design for the "ALOHA FROM HAWAII" concert in 1973, the first-ever performance to be broadcast live via satellite around the world. The costume worn by ELVIS for the show was the "American Eagle Jumpsuit", a white one-piece with red and blue gems heavily patterned in the shape of eagles, with thematically matching belt and cape. "ALOHA FROM HAWAII" was a charitable ELVIS Concert too, benifiting the Kui Lee Cancer Fund . On this occasion, ELVIS personally wanted his ALOHA CONCERT to be a grandiose statement about America... The car is actually on display for tourists' view on the road to Hana Town, in Maui, near a gorgeous waterfall... From "Hawaiian Vacation" series.
