Description

I've been lax in getting photos uploaded from our Scout Trip last month...still have a few model aircraft ones I want to upload, but realized I had this one as well. There was a leader there who was giving demonstrations in how to make gunpowder...or maybe it was black powder, I forget for sure now. Anyway, he'd mix the various chemicals with the charcoal, then spread it out on a piece of tile and light it off at one end. Managed this capture as it went off. Looked cool, so here it is. :) Don't forget, running a sale on my BG's at the moment, so please check that out. :) John

Great shot! That appears to be black powder judging by the smoke and relatively slow burn/color/etc. of the flash.

Very nice capture- perfect timing! Stuff like this can be very difficult because its spontaneous and unpredictable regarding camera settings- just gotta give it a shot- glad it worked out here!

You did really well to capture the varying brilliances of light John. I also notice how still you held the camera, from the sharpness of the surrounding grass. Excellent Sir! Steve :o)
