Description

This was taken in late August (I believe between the 26th and 28th). They look quite a bit different now. THis is about halfway through their seeding process. They start from the bottoms of the plants, as it opens to release the seeds, and work up to the top. When it reaches the top, we have approximately 4 to 6 weeks till we get snow. They are pretty reliable to predict the snow. This year it took 8 weeks, but we had snow later than we usually do. (Most the time we get snow in late Sept. to mid Oct. But this year, we just got it this last week... so it was late.) Thanks for looking. Your comments are always welcome and appreciated. :o) ~Row.

This is a fantastic capture! Well composed, and I love the plants in the foreground contrasting with the darker green in the background. Great sense of depth! As prionbrain said, Awesome!!!

A wonderful photo. Fireweed flowers are so delicate. I miss them as they do not grow where I live. BTW, fireweed honey is crystal clear and delicious.
