Well, what can I say? Art in its many shapes and forms has always interested me, and I've dabbled around in a little bit of everything. My current passions are bead work, crocheting, sculpting, and costume making.
I am now employed by a non-profit that focuses on early childhood education, a far cry and tremendous blessing from my retail jungle days of yore. I still don't have kids, so most of my free time is taken up by church activities, the gym, household stuffs and cooking, playing EQ2 (as my silly Ratonga, Meeba) and crafting when I get around to it...and Facebook, lots and lots of Facebook. My current goals are to continue to be a more awesome person, get better at self-motivation, not spend so much time on Facebook, and finish my various craft projects - not in that particular order. Oh, and I DID eventually get married, and have been happily wedded for 8 years now. ;)
Just from reading this, you've probably already guessed that my mind tends to work a little bit off the wall and hanging from the ceiling. In fact, it's been 10 years since the first time I typed this bio and that really hasn't changed much. I guess I've just mellowed a bit more now. :P
All in all, I'd say I'm an interesting blend of Id evading Ego and trying to act like the 28.... er 38 (OMG!!!), year old that I am. Feel free to poke around my blog and gallery. There's not much there right now, and I most likely won't be adding to it at this point, but if you want to see what I was like 10 years ago then have at it! :)

Ok, today it will be this one. General impression is nice but there are several places when I want to comment. - there is no shadow at the floor near the figure. Look at the left plant pot - there is a weak shadow at the floor near but the lady has no such privilege. The full shadow is falling back-left and this is ok and I don't know why floor seems to be so different but just to make a note. Also try to darken just a bit the left bottom corner when dress hem is close to the floor. - the lights seems to have most power from the front direction but shadow from the lady falls from right to left. Yes, I see the columns shadow in the same direction but try to lesser intensity of front light if this picture has any. - I'm not really sure but eyes of the lady seem to cross a bit like she is looking at the tip of her nose. Her head is too up and because of that there is no line of connection between the viewer and her gaze. - Her expression is too undefined, too general, I would even say, undeveloped. I have difficulties to guess is she smug, proud, friendly or wicked. She can be any and while sometimes uncertainty is a good thing, in the picture where only one person posing and there is nothing else, it is not a good thing, at my taste. And she is not looking peaceful as a peace is also expression and not the lack of it. The mouth suggests first and last options but eyes are neutral and brows... brows are powerful tool of expression but here they like not used. Also remember - alive human expression is almost never perfectly symmetrical as well as a pose. Arch one of her brows more, turn up corner of mouth, work with eyes. She can be a bit sad or mysterious but she should have a character. - Her pose. Again, right arm and hand seem to be idle, just hanging in the air. Arm is stressed and held in bended position while naturally it falls freely. The left hand... when the hand is down and it is relaxed fingers are not in this position, they freely pointing (not the right verb, but I hope you understand) toward ground. The same with right hand. Also collars look too stressed for me. The skirt seems to twist not according to the pose - it is a nice dymanical twist but pose itself is static (look at torso, neck, hands, hair - they all belong to static pose. Also to show dynamic in 3D, depth of the field is also used but I don't know much here by myself). The methods which I use when in doubt about pose are: a) find a photo reference of the pose or b) try to take this pose by youself and stay in it for a minute or so without resisting natural shifts in musculs. I tried this pose and for me it was not very comfortable to stand like this. - Camera focus. Aery Soul has a very handy tutorial about camera focus at her website. http://aerysoul.com/board/showthread.php?t=1534 I suggest to try 35mm and see what happend. - Also I would put more space over lady head. The natural center of attention lies approximately in the center of the picture - and at this place we have a dress while it should be a face or at lease a chest. Lady's legs are looking too long but I don't know if it is a dress effect or morph or all picture. - Something about the stonecup behind her shoulders but I can't pinpoint it. - the skin. It is not look very natural but I believe it is a way of P4 render. What I do like about this picture: - color pattern. Cool veined marble and cold dress and pretty cold-tinted hair are compliment each others and the flower is a good catch here. Darker floor is going well which smooth shadows. Try to put some bump in the floor - the light stone is cleary bumped but floor looks like polished and at the same time gives no reflection as polished stone would give. - general composition. With everything that I said previously it is quite gentle and lady looks like framed in stone elements. I don't exactly know what effect you wanted to reach except of showing the dress (which is a nice :) but be it a usual picture my feedback would be like this. Sorry for any typos ^^"

There are three points that I just want to elaborate on in this picture. 1) Her expression. That's such a beautiful dress, and character as well, that you may want to not focus her eyes on the camera. Instead, maybe turn them away to the right (well, her right, not yours, lol). Perhaps make her mouth a little more smug looking. To do that, I would suggest dialing her smile left to 0.200 and her smile right to 0.350 or 0.400. Maybe with the Mouth Disgust dial to 0.300 and the Lips Pucker to 0.100. The smallest things make the difference. 2) The shadowing, or lack thereof. With a dress like that, the lighting would be better if it were dramatic, sharply focused on the dress itself with thick and soft shadows going on the floor. By the way, if you need some lights I can help you with that, I've got tons I could put in a zip file for you. 3) The floor of the place. It should match the rest of it, just in my opinion. Make it a little less patchy. Okay, that's it. lmao
