Description
I was so impressed with LazloHollyfeld's excellent recent art post, "Machine Narcotic | Revisit"
that I tried to make a version of my own.
I simplied by leaving out some scene items things and guessing on sizes, angles, and settings. I don't own 3D Studio Max, so had to use a different tool too.
I sure had fun trying this imitation of form and style.

Just goes to show that Lazlo is a "Real Genius"!!!

Well...it's different and certainly interesting. :o) I went and checked out the original and though they are similar, they are different. Done by two different people. I think both are good and wondering if you used the same application as Lazlo to make yours. In any event, it is simple image, yet complicated. Well done! And I have no bloody idea what it means. lol :o)

Mike, I'm flattered that you made this, and am happy to have provided some sort of inspiration for you. It is very nice work, and the refraction is spot on. Congrats on being able to code it! That is quite an accomplishment. Sometimes coding is so much easier than messing with the plethora of sliders and buttons with a GUI renderer. Thank you for sharing!

Wow! Very cool! Excellent reflections! Long render, huh? I'm not used to lengthy renders like I read you guys going through, so yesterday I was stunned when one of my flames too two and half hours to render!! I can't imagine some of the render times I hear you guys talking about!
