Description

Hi ! I took this photograph a couple years ago ,of a "Barn Swallow" that had made his nest right at the very front of the tugboat that used to take us across the lake where i was working ! Very bad choice location that's for sure ,because due to the excessif amount of constant movements ,disturbances ,implified perhaps by excessif noises ,sorry to say that the eggs never hatched ! I guess it was never meant to be ! Thanks for all your encouraging words re: my last posted image "Yellow Mellow" All your comments are greatly appreciate ! What good is a photograph ,if no one see it ! Thanks for looking ! A very good day to you all !

Awwww what a shame they never hatched. Great shot & POV love the lighting too, the light of new beginnings and the dark shadow of death brilliant.

Poor mommy bird, she must have been there a while waiting for her eggs to hatch. Nice capture. Aloha

Such a beautiful capture from you. So sad the eggs did not hatch, hope the barn swallow picks a better nesting spot next time. The swallow is one of my favorites birds. Your work Ti-Paul, is superb!!! Diane.

Excellent capture of texture, light and shade, but oh so sad that those babies didn't want to face the big wide world. Poor mother bird too :o(

Great story and illustration. You have done so well, in fact, that I can see these eggs were viable for some time before they were abandoned. The interesting thing is, I guarantee that in less than 2 weeks, the mother bird was getting ready to lay another clutch. They are driven to hatch eggs as much as they can each year and sometimes they can have 4-5 clutches per year.

Cette photo rend bien la douceur et la chaleur du nid douillet dans lequel se trouvent les oeufs. Merci de nous la faire partager.

Excellent image. The story is sad but the photo is wonderful. At least, not meant to be was not the same as "not meant to be appreciated".

Tout un symbole ce nid. Une excellente idée de cliché...en espérant que tu n'as pas fait fuir la maman volatile. Bravo.
