Description
This is my little guy Rudy.We had to put him down today at 3:30 . He totaly lost the use of his back legs and today took a real bad turn for the worse
This is what he loved to do.Sit by the fire during the winter.
He was with us for almost 9 years. He thought he was a pit bull in another life. MAtter of fact he tried to pull one thru our fence by his lip and then turned around and kicked grass in his face LOL
He was a one of a kind dog. I could only wish that every one could have such a cool and loving dog
It feels like I just lost one of my kids..Some people may not understand that .But that is how it feels

My grandma used to say that there are a puffy heaven for the house dogs and cats, where the pillows are spreaded all around, and the air is fresh always... he said that to me and my brother when we lost our dog, far in the late 70's... I am sure that that Heaven is still open and working, so your Rudy is there, for sure... fabi FKDesign

So sorry about your loss. I know how it feels to lose a family member and all of my animals are my kids. But Budy is in the happy hunting ground and will be there with all the others waiting for you.

too bad about your friend and companion.my older dog is almost 17 and yesterday I went out to give them their morning treat and he was asleep next to the fence around the roses and I was only 3' from him and kept calling his name.finally he jumped up but he ran to the yard gate thinking what -I have no idea.he really is deaf.he still is very lively and does well getting around, but I know it is only a matter of time before he dies.I will have to immediately get another dog because the female would not do well by herself.she has to have contact with someone.without a companion she would probably dig out to find a friend

They are the sweetest little guys, aren't they? So smart and funny--just like regular people but a little shorter and less talkative. It's just too bad they can't be with us longer--but they sure do make us happy while they are;-) Lotsa hugs, hon!

Your Rudy was very special and I'm so sorry to hear the sad news. I have a little wiener, Flirt, who looks just like him and is as fiesty and has no idea she's only 20 lbs.. She also adores laying by the fire in the winter. They truly are members of the family and nothing worse than having to say goodbye. I can see how much Rudy was loved. Hugs to you. CC

This happened to my dog and I had to work through it and my mum stayed and held him. I was so miserable I could not be there. I am sorry for your loss Bobby :) Cathy xoxoxo

oh man.. sorry to hear that... oh yes i can relate to loosing a one of a kind dog.. beed there to... love the story about him trying to drag another dog through the fence.. ROFL. and what a great picture to.. i cant blame him for wanting to be near the fire.. soft and hot that the way small dogs love it.. LOL.

So sorry for your loss. I absolutely do understand how losing Rudy is like losing a child. I think, next to my mother, losing my childhood pet was one of the hardest losses I have gone through. So very sorry. It is so hard ! I just saw Romanceworks lovely ethereal image of him. Big hugs Boo !

So sorry to read about your loss!!!! I even cried when my hamster died. I get upset when animals are killed in the road, so I can just imagine how awful you felt. What a gorgeous little dog.
