My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

This looks like a great spot to sit with a good book and a cup of hot apple cider. I love the postwork you did on this.

It may be the end of summer around where you are, Tara, but in my section of the USA, it's still hot and dry. I even got a nice sunburn on my neck and hands last Sunday. Wonderful POV, deep rustic colors, and a cool, comfortable lighting effect displayed in this bucolic capture of the old wooden bench, foliage and scattered leaves.

Nice shot and postwork, Tara. I can't say I'm sad to see summer go around here since it can be hotter than Hades, but it does look like a peaceful place to just sit and ponder things.

Beautiful shot. Really captures the end of feeling of its namesake.

WOW...this is one of those pictures that works on many different levels. First off, the composition is elegant and simple. The colors convey that elegance even more and the sense of rustic simplicity works exceptionally well. Next, the postwork done on this gives it a nice, unexpected quality. I love the fact that it hovers in that "weird" way between photograph and drawing, or photograph and painting...you're never actually sure, when looking at it. That's what I love the most about it, that whole sense of blurred artistic boundaries. This is beautifully presented and excellently done all around!
