Description

In an otherwise dark future, there are still a few bright spots that make living in this new world all worthwhile. Like a lazy Sunday morning when the smog clears just enough to let a few warm rays of a dying sun light the interior of an apartment somewhere on the 700th floor. This is living. The original image is 5100 x 3100 and made of two separate Vue renders - the interior scene and the exterior cityscape. For the Mac types out there, this is the first piece I've rendered on Mac OS 10.5 Leopard and the increase in Vue's render speed is quite remarkable. This compared to my previous attempts at rendering this piece on 10.4 which I gave up on due to the excessive render times. Skytraffic models courtesy of Stonemason.

As always, it's the little details such as the mouse that make it so good. I'm going to wait on Leopard, till I get a new Mac.

If you were a woman, I'd get divorced and marry you, no questions asked, no price to high! ;-) Yeah, that's how great your images are and how consistent in quality they are. You're an inspiration! Keep up the great work! Best regards, JF

Mmmmm... lazy sunday mornings... that is the best you can do on sunday mornings... nothing! But I prefer the bed myself... maybe if my bed had such a nice looking screen integrated I would stay there more! Awesome render anyways.

This is a fantastic work! I love the conceptual "feel" of it as well as the crisp sense of minimalism. Fantastic.

Another excellent image! At first glance this image seemed less detailed than some of your others, but as I looked at it for a while, I was really drawn in. There are still lots of details and all of them implemented so well. The lighting is superb! I especially like the mapping on the fuzzy part of the chair.

Beautiful composition, the way the room is lit, her pose, the transparent flat panel tv, and the view outside! Very cool! So- interesting how the upgraded operating system has an effect on render time- I wonder why?

Dig the retro egg-chair, funny, we will still need power-points in the future ? Kool concept and the two renders really make this an outstanding Sci-fi scene ! Well done & ~Cheers~ :o)

Thanks for doing the "sunny day in Dsytopia". The gallery was crying out for a break from all the gun blasts in the rain. Even though we don't see the sun directly the big orange chair is a great stand-in. It's also protective and safe. The cat, cat-toy, Chanel ankle warmers, all great details that say comfy. I'm going to go on record as denouncing the see-through vis-panel as impractical. As if glare from the our side wasn't enough to look past now we'll be trying to blot out the rest of the room. But I understand, you're working in the current idiom and according to Spielburg and others the future is see-through monitors. Jet packs aren't practical either but I'm hooked. Great work as always. Thanks for the info on Vue and Leopard.
