I don't generally recognise Halloween as a huge celebration day. Being old-school English, the day was more traditionally celebrated with fairly low-key parties, sometimes in fancy dress, where we bobbed for apples and told scary stories to each other while sat in the dark with a torch illuminating the speakers face at a scary angle. All this 'Trick or Treat' door-to-door stuff, scooped-out pumpkins decorating the house and big-time celebrating is a fairly recent import from Stateside. Nonetheless, I have chosen to go with the flow this year and produce a Halloween image but, in keeping with my more conservative approach to this day, I have saved publication of the picture until the actual day.
