Description

This is version 2 of the Daz HMS Victory, this time with the lights on. I think it looks better with the lights. The water is basically the same water terrains I made years ago; I just changed the lighting. Bryce 6 and Paint shop Pro 9.

Great lighting on this. I really dig the lights on the back of the ship. And the way the moonlight bounces off the ocean water is perfect.

Looks like a place you would want to be at. Very relaxing, the light makes it. Thanks.

Very nice render. One of the better renders of this model. One small crit though: seems the lower portions of the sails are not secured with block and tackle rigging to the yards, the ends seem to be floating without any restraints. Everything else looks spot on: the closed gunports, the bow and stern wakes, the slight shadows of the masts and rigging showing through the canvas, even the reflections on the water of the stern gallery lights, lanterns, and the moon look great. Oh, and even the slight suggestion of sea mist is a great touch. Nicely done.

That's an excellent piece of work. And romantic as well. One wonders about the purpose of this voyage.

I agree, much better. This would look very good as a widescreen format image.
