"Infernal Bedlam" By David J. We all went ahead and started Halloween a little early by setting the entire state ablaze in a flurry of infernos that wreaked massive destruction over 800 square miles. The skies were dark orange and black, the air was barely breathable, and the ash and soot rained from the sky covering everything in a blanket of gray. For some, this disaster is over, but for thousands of people it has left their lives turned upside down. San Diego was the hardest hit in the state and it's difficult to try and celebrate in the midst of what happened last week. My thoughts and best wishes go out to those who have lost and suffered in this crisis and my appreciation for the thousands of brave firefighters on a job well done. Have a happy and safe Halloween and for the love of Gandhi, don't play with fire! *~* Image Notes *~* It was difficult getting motivated to make a scene this year; after three attempts of a large scale set, they all went the way of the pet rock in a hurry. I decided to break out my character from two years ago and rework it to my liking and I forgot how much work it was to change over a hundred material zones. I couldn't escape the fire theme as that was all that seemed to come out unfortunately. No disrespect or lack of sensitivity intended as it is literally a sign of very bleak times. Not much is more scary than seeing 800 homes burn in three days time. I'm not overly thrilled about this image and I might end up pulling it, but I just wanted to wish my friends a Happy Halloween and to mention that I'm not under a pile of rubble just yet. And if you see this chick knocking on your door tonight, don't let her in the house! She's nothing but trouble! LOL!
