Description

This is my first attempt doing a Sci Fi image. I've been wanting to do one for sometime but just couldn't get up the courage after seeing all the wonderful Sci Fi and space images here at Renderosity. But I played around with some lights on this one on the UFO and I liked the result it gave to the land....I hope you'll like as well. The UFO (without the lights on the underside) and the space ship were Freebies here at Renderosity. God Bless and Blessed Be!

Very nice job! I like the lights under the craft and the ground texture! The mountains look a little too bright to me! Wonderfully done!

This is a great job, especially for a first render. I like the colors and the not exactly usual UFO design. The lights are cool too. Hopefully this means you will be doing other similar renders! Oh and the spot of light on the ground beneath the hovering craft is a nice touch! This is great work.

Wow, close encounters of my kind! Very cool image Marlene. Wonderful scene setup and saucer textures. Excel SciFi material..Bravo! A simple but effective classic saucer can be made by placing a sphere, copy and paste it again. Select one sphere and double it's uniform size, then nearly flatten it. Re-center the flattened sphere to center of ball part. Group the two spheres together and add textures, one for the round body and one for the wing saucer part. Maybe flatten the round one just a little bit. Easy 3D saucer! Anyway, super image here! Big thumbs up and hugs from Dave :^)
