Description

This is the first of many ruin-shots I gathered from Visby a couple of weeks ago. Visby is a city crammed with history, but most cathedral- and church ruins are closed for entry. This one also, originally. But when I poked around this particular one, I found the wrought-iron gate open, so I snuck in for a look and a couple of shots. I find the young saplings to give this place an extra strong feeling of peace and presence. Enjoy!

Oh goodie more ruin shot. Fantastic shot and amazing effect with a strong light comming through the openings. Emphases (spell check pls) a place greatly and takes me back to medieval time. Not hard to imagine a High lady and her Knight final moment of separation before a greatest battle far away from a castle. Ok, back to reality, also love those broken slabs gathered around a ground and nicely framed with a green leaves.

Such beautiful light Eva, so glad you were able to get inside here. I agree with all Tunde says and will add this... The fact that the trees are growing, thriving here, adds to the feeling of perfect peace. This is one very wonderful capture. Creates amazing feelings in the viewer!! Superb work. I like this, you have captured something special here, with this fantastic light through the arched windows. as others have said before-the vegetation gives it something extra. I love history and look forward to seeing more. Thanks for sharing this with us.
