Description

This is the city square at Tulum. In Mayan Tulum means "wall". One of the few walled cities built by the Mayans. I highly recommend a visit here, although the shooting conditions may not be the best. And don't bother taking a tripod, you will not be admitted. Not the largest of Mayan ruins but spectacular because of its location, on a 15 meter cliff overlooking the Caribbean.

Janis has a way of seeing fine bw images and I agree with her. I have learned a lot from her images. You interesting concept of bw takes this one quite beyond the "tourist" photo. Well done, indeed.
