Description
My Dad passed away last Tuesday after many years of ill health. I was lucky enough to be able to spend a great deal of time with him these last few months. He was a wonderful, supportive, involved father who taught me much.
He was a soldier with 28 years service to the Air Force and Army then 10 years in the Post Office and I am not sure how many years in Civil Air Patrol where he was recently promoted to full Colonel. He was well-decorated having served in Korea (1966) and Vietnam (1969) and fully deserved the burial with full military honors.
My future daughter-in-law took most of the funeral service photos in this collage, filled in with a couple I had taken earlier. Burial was at Morganton Cemetery outside of Greenback, TN (my mother's family's area) overlooking Tellico Lake. Generations of my Mother's family lie here, Dad had adopted them as his own, also choosing his final resting place with them.
My apologies to all for my few and infrequent comments as of late. Thank you for viewing and sharing my honor for my Dad.

I am sorry for your loss... It is very hard to lose a father... but know he will always be with you... right in your heart... I lost my father about 10 years ago.. He will always part of who I am...

My deepest condolences on loosing your Dad. I lost my Dad in 2001 so I can understand what you are feeling now (((Hug))Just so long as you have your memories of the good times you shared he will never be gone from your life. This is a wonderful dedication and I am sure your Dad loves this beautiful collage. Hugs

A beautiful resting place for I am sure, a wonderful man. For all you who still have their fathers, make sure you ask all those questions you have wanted answers to, and listen to and ask for all their stories, cuz when they are gone, it is too late.

My deepest sympathies for the loss of your dad, I lost mine 48 years ago and my mother 23 years ago. There is nothing anybody can say to make the pain go away, but it does lessen in time, remember the good times. I still see them both nearly every day something happens and I think of them, I still shed the odd tear. Thats nothing to be ashamed of, you will never stop loving him and you will often see him in the crowds, his spirit is still with you, and will be for ever. Take care and like I said remember the good times. Excellent dedication.
