Description

The Cimmaron Mountain Range of the Rockies is located east of Ridgway, Colorado. The scene was shot from about 10 miles away in the Log Hill sub-division standing on a 10-foot ladder on our back deck. Used a Nikon E8800 with 2x multiplier telephoto zoom lense added to native 10x zoom. Photomerged 4 frames with Adobe Photo Shop Elements 5.0. Recognizable named formations (L to R): Chimney Rock, Courthouse, and Precipice.

You really used skill putting this together. The shot is incredible for 10 miles away and on a ladder. And merging all this and adjusting the colors, etc. to get this is a big accomplishment. Outstanding.

Thanks, kansas, you may be close. This is the view we hoped for when the house was designed. It ended up about 10 feet too short due to local code restrictions. My "Little Giant" ladder was the prescription for this piece.

I noticed while traveling through your state how colorful the mountains and rocks were in Colorado - must be how it got that name. ;o) Excellent panoramic view, I must say.
