Description

New month, new theme in 2D Forum This time it is TIME My first theme mage is a repost of an old one. Thought it would fit so well, both to the theme and to my ponderings about time. I have thought a lot of it lately, not just because I am growing old, while my soul is still young, but because I try to really encompass the issue of time, and how it is related to our lives, and to the bigger picture. Thanks for viewing and the comments you want to give. stock thanks to http://mum-stock.deviantart.com/

I think that your image is beautiful, first and foremost! But the way you have illustrated such a deeply rooted and complex issue of time is remarkable............. The hands of thelady within the hourglass, are fixed upon the glass as time is "drawing" to what seems like the end leaves one feeling so helpless..... I wish I could just jump in there and tell her that evetything will be okay, and that time is merely a construct. The image creates a sense of helplessness and the tone, mood and atmosphere is phenomenal. Your artwork is sensational! You always leave me in awe!

Time and place settle the tone for much of our lives. Our beginnings make an ending inevitable. Beyond that it brings a concept of order to existence. I too ponder the subject, aging is like that, and under the duress of a growing insufficiency (now that is strange word association). I like the image, of course. The face, pose and arms are exquisite. Perhaps the right lower corner is a little too solid in that the lack of definition makes her appear slightly heavy (broad, thick?)

Our bodies may be captive to time, but our minds and spirits have unlimited vistas and can wander where they please. Imagination, not time, is their only limitation. Excellent and evocative image, sis. Hugs and love, Suzanne
