Description

Life adrift is not for me. . . A ship without its bearings . . .~upon the open sea Let loose to wind and wave -without plan, is insanity! and yet I've come to know no matter the plans or why sometimes you'll need a tow when you find yourself high and dry I want not for food or water~ I ask only, please if you could; just a tow line for my daughter~ so her way is safe and good. *SASk. . . Revised: poem & ship name correction- 11/04/07~ Sorry, lots going on at this end.

Thank you all for your comments and taking the time to visit. I appreciate it. This shot was taken last Octobner, when the schooner, Young america (sorry, been a little side-tracked)was being taken into port for repairs. Somebody was not alert when she broke free of her anchor, and she ended up floundering for several days in the shallows on the Jersey/Vilas side, of Delaware Bay. I was not there when they finally got her free, but it must of taken quite a bit of dredging~since she was keel deep in sand, up to the base of her hull.
