Description

A long long time ago, I was semi-interested in minerals and semi-precious stones. Frankly I have no idea what this actually is, but I thought it made a good motive for some photos to take when daylight had long run out on me. As for the title: Yes, this stone really feels smooth to the touch. There really are no shadows there, just black lines under the surface. Many thanks for all comments on my last image. :-) thumb_1552543.jpg
And, as always, all comments on this - and any other of my images - are certainly welcome, be they good, bad, or anything inbetween. :-)

Fascinating layers. The picture also reminds me of some spider (or related animal) protruding from a hole. "Doctor! DOCTOR!!! My brain hurts..." [Monty Python]
