Description
After 229 hours, it is finally done!!! I had to take the quality down to make the file small enough to post here; the full image looks even better. So here it is, comments and critiques welcome.

An extraordinary result- congrats. You did an immense amount of work; 229 hours? What type of computer/processor/memory?

Impressive render ! Too bad that the compression factor lowered the final picture's quality. Great work anyway.

The image size is way too large for a fairly basic image like this. Take the size down and the compression, and it should be even better. Also, a planet scene DOES NOT need any special GI levels. The presets should work fine or even lower. Another thing is that the clouds are much too rough. Try increasing the quality or altering the density fractal. The textures, on the other hand, aren't that bad. I like the general shape of the continents and oceans. The lighting is good, too. The ground is pretty basic, though. Did you freehand paint the planet texture? If so, you did a good job, just needs more detail in that respect. I think that the starfield should stand out a little more. On my monitor, it looks very grainy.

Sieht doch Klasse aus ! ;-) Ein Erdähnlicher Planet, auf dem es Leben gibt.
