Description

morning all :o) as i was going to pick ashleigh up yesterday afternoon from school and do my babysitting bit lol and got stuck in traffic and ended up outside this church .now its only round the corner from where i live in thornaby and my boys were christened here and we`ve had marriages and my mum`s funeral aswell and yet stuck in this traffic i took real notice of it so i pulled off the road out of the traffic and took this pic . i know the trees are in front of it but that is the only view from the road and there`s a old people`s home right at the back of it .i am going to walk round and see what the side views are like from a taking a pic point of view . thanks for continued support and comments and have a fantastic weekend mick

Seeing the church through the bare trees is a wonderful view. In the summer, this would just be a photograph of a bunch of trees! Beautiful, but not a good way to see the architecture. I love this shot. It's full of history, and part of that history is yours. Wonderful!

'St Paul the Apostle' a beautiful old building with the square tower instead of the steeple, we have a couple like that near us. It makes a change to see the square turret, I should imagine they were easier to build than the spire. Great capture Mick and as Tara has pointed out it is the right time of year to be photographing it. I wouldn't mind seeing what stained glass they have in there(hint, hint). Excellent. Bravo!!!!!

This is quite a good shot of it! It makes me wonder what it looks like from the sides, and also inside, too. This church looks really old, do you have any idea when it was built? :o) I ask too many questions, don't I?
