Description

This render came about when I was trying to think of someway to show off the new more realistic skin shaders I've made for all of my characters. The background is from a photograph that I touched up and everything else is all mine. The shadows, that are Poser generated not the ones I painted in later, took four hours to render. This was one of my longest renders ever.

It's strange that a good work like this one is not appreciated by most of the people. Maybe because they like realism, not humour?

I dis-agree with 3DClassics. It's not because people like realism. Part of the problem, if you want to call it that, is that 3D by nature of the shaders and textures is always in a realistic mode no matter what the character. Your stylized character on her own, on a realistic beach, draped with exquisite realistic lace comes off as shockingly anorexic. Once she is in a context with other characters like your Star Trek episode, her style becomes completely normal. In this case her expression, pursing her lips, unfortunately contributes to a wan appearance. All your other character posts; Alone, Apparitions, Lady in Green seem to work much better.
