Description

Nice red tree at Westonbirt on our day out (BibbyBear, rockstrider, danob, Peewee05 and Fred255 - aka Chrissy, Carl, Danny, Vera, and David). Twas a good day out in the end, despite the rather repetitive mundaneness of the arboretum - could do with a proper lake, and some more open spaces... more scenery and points of interest rather than just trees i think was the general sentiment of the group by the end of the day. (Check the forum for some "memory shots" of the day out) Anyway - thanks for letting me use the flash on this one Danny, it turned out fine in the end.. i think :) Not sure what tree this was but there were a few of them around with their brilliant red leaves! Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Enjoy! Rich

Yes this is great, the post work is very good. You are right once you have walked past 20 plus red trees they do start to look the same! The company and the tuition definitely made up for it.

Those red leaves really were stunning weren't they. I think you've done wonderfully with this one. The lay out of the park was def not done with photographers in mind! I think your post work here is stunning Rich. Might I suggest (not sure how hard it is) cloning out the 'tree bin' in the midground there. I love how you've let the grey fade into the red of the leaves, really showing the death that winter brings but at the same time the leaves are fighting it off as they know spring is coming not long after. Thanx for your comment. Please tell me how I could've gotten more DOF from f/1.8? Did I maybe over sharpen the whole scene instead of just the leaf, web and branch? Cheeers mate.
