Description

Well I don't know what to say about this... I feel like it's more like a serie of different tests than a carefully planned piece of art:P Again the level of dark causes me trouble... I just recently got a new display and not so sure if it's calibrated that well. But it wasn't so nice to discover that this new bright display revealed some very bad flaws in my older works.. like with true colors and blending etc... have to soon re-render those... Well anyways I hope someone likes this.. just don't take it so critically:D Thanks for looking!! -Antti-

Lovely work here!! The low POV really accentuates the sense of the balloons flying overhead. Great work on the jungle too (a slow and sometimes frustrating exercise in Bryce! :-) Lots of atmosphere in this, which I like. Art should never be planned - just let it happen! Well done!

I zoomed it to try and see what you consider to be the flaws in this piece. The darkness gives it the feel that we are, watching the arrival of someone from elsewhere, possibly elsewhen. Or perhaps we are the other where other when being traveled to. I do like it quite a bit. Because it is not an, " as expected" piece, but rather sets my mind a little off kilter. This allows me to have more of a say in the story of the piece. Sorry, am I making any sense? BJ

I'm not sure you need to redo any of those other pieces, Antti.... This piece seems a little dark and the colors look a little 'muddy'....overall, the image is a little less crisp and clear than what I've come to expect from you. If that fits the intent of the piece, OK - if not, maybe you want to fiddle with calibration some more...?

I think it's good. There are always problems with the light in Bryce, I know too well. Your old stuff is good, leave it alone.
